Kelly is currently on maternity leave and we welcome her return as our office administrator mid 2015. Kelly’s career direction changed as she discovered the world of dentistry after being in hospitality as a Chef for many years prior. She initially worked at a local Dental Laboratory in administration for xx years coordinating prosthesis such as dentures, crowns, implant crowns and mouthguards. Then joined us to expand on her dental technical knowledge by applying it to include more patient interaction. A short time after joining St Clair Dental, Kelly was promptly promoted into her current position as she clearly demonstrated her abilities of all office based administration tasks. She supports the dentist’s in the business management behind the scenes & her contribution to the practice’s success is noticeable in all that she does.
In 2014, Kelly coordinated a turnkey project that gained our practice recognition as an Accredited Dental Practice. Through this process St Clair Dental was formally assessed by an independent third party auditor and awarded the certification that our policies and procedures met the national standard in accordance with state and federal regulations and legislation for safety & quality. This achievement is just one example of how the work that Kelly does with us adds immense value to the practice, our team, our culture and ability to deliver clinical excellence.

Karthika a very friendly, passionate and caring Dental Assistant that is a part of our weekend team. We congratulate her on her most recent academic achievement; having recently graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Dental Hygiene from TAFE SA.
Karthika takes pride in assuring that the patients have a positive experience during their visit and is conscious that people at times do feel anxious. She finds that her technique for relaxing and making people feel at ease is well received. The challenge that such situations present is personally rewarding for Karthika in that she has been able to influence and re-shape people’s perception of visiting our caring dentist’s to be more positive.
Her diligent attitude is noticeable in her commitment to her work and she upholds high standards of infection control for instrument sterilisation, clinical room preparation and maintenance. She has worked at the Adelaide Dental Hospital in the orthodontic unit and assisted the specialist practitioners there. During that time, she particularly enjoyed engaging with teenagers and felt that being witness to their dental journey was very rewarding when new smiles were created and improved the confidence in their lives dramatically.

I consider myself fortunate enough to pursue a profession which I’m passionate about. I gain immense satisfaction in practicing dentistry, which I have been doing since 2002. In the last few years I have developed my interest in the field of Dental Implantology because I believe it to be the key in the future of oral rehabilitation.
