Dental implants are surgically placed in your jawbone. The procedure is performed under general or local anaesthesia. Your oral surgeon or implantologist then exposes the bone by making an incision. The implant is placed inside the jawbone; the incision is then stitched back. In the last few years I have developed my interest in the field of Dental Implantology because I believe it to be the key in the future of oral rehabilitation.
